SERVICES
MAACA, Inc. has been serving the needs of the HIV community in North Florida since 2004. We are a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the continual wellness of people infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS. MAACA offers mental health, HIV testing, and pharmacy services, regardless of your financial situation, insurance status or ability to pay.
Listed below are the programs and services that we offer:
Financial Assistance for Medical Care
We work to provide assistance with co-pays involving infectious disease doctors for clients with insurance, and assistance with payment involving labs and doctors for individuals without insurance.
FOOD
We deliver monthly food baskets to our patients who are experiencing food insecurity. We get fresh fruits and vegetables from a local farmer here in Tallahassee.
PRESCRIPTION
We provide assistance with co-pays for medications for those clients with insurance and medication not on the ADAP formulary for those uninsured. All uninsured clients will access ART and other medications through ADAP at the Leon County Health Department.
CASE MANAGEMENT
We provide clients with case management services in order to assist them in navigating through their health care in a cost-efficient manner.
MENTAL HEALTH
Provision of up to 30 one-hour sessions with a mental health therapist to address mental health and/or substance misuse issues.
PEER PROGRAM
We offer clients access to a support network of people who share similar struggles.
TRANSPORTATION
Assistance with transportation to and from medical appointment via bus passes or use of agency transportation.
